Formerly known as the Gruene Outpost River Lodge, this iconic riverside property in New Braunfels carries a long-standing legacy along the Guadalupe River. While the primary renovation was led by an outside contractor, the French Cowboys in-house design and construction team was brought in to execute key upgrades and finishing touches that elevated the guest experience and tied the new brand vision together. Over a focused six-month period, our team managed $500K in enhancements, delivering a full renovation of the hotel lobby and clubhouse including the construction of a new bar, two updated restrooms, refreshed back-of-house areas, and a custom $50K FF&E package sourced through our international furniture partners. We also redesigned the property’s largest suite, installed branded wayfinding signage, and oversaw a series of amenity and landscaping improvements including the addition of a pickleball court, volleyball and basketball areas, and communal fire pits. The result is a refreshed take on a beloved destination, combining laid-back Texas charm with thoughtful, guest-centered design.
